Starting your Day Positive
“Is it easy to start your day on a positive note? As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found it can be a challenge to get going. I’d love to share a few changes I’ve made to my routine that have really helped me!
As a wife and mother, I often focus on taking care of everyone else—making breakfast, organizing, and ensuring everything is in place. But one thing I didn’t always do was make the beds. I recently read that making your bed in the morning gives you a sense of accomplishment to kick-start your day, and I can honestly say it’s true! I wish I’d started this habit long ago.
Another small but impactful change is keeping the kitchen tidy and maintaining a clean, organized home. Your living space can greatly influence your mood and energy. Surround yourself with items that hold meaning—something you bought, a gift, or a symbol of love shared with your family. These little touches fill your home with warmth and positivity.
Exercise and devotionals are also excellent ways to start the day. I’ve practiced these in the past but struggled with consistency, so I’m making it a priority to add them back into my routine.
If you’re feeling stuck or unmotivated, try incorporating some of these habits into your day. Remember, life is challenging enough—don’t overwhelm yourself. Start small and take it step by step.
